As Sales Support you are in an ongoing dialogue with our non-food customers, mostly (but not exclusively) in the oleo-chemicals industry. Do you have a background in chemicals (education and/or work experience) and a commercial sense? In that case, please apply, we need you to be able to achieve our own and our customers goals!

SALES SUPPORT OLEOCHEMICALS (FT / Zaandam)

The role:

For a large part your focus will be on the administrative part of the sales process. This means confirming contracts towards our customers and booking them into our ERP systems. It also means keeping track of the contracts and forecasts and give additional support to the Sales Manager. Your background in chemistry will help you understand the needs and (buying) strategy of the customer well. In the (near) future, we will encourage you to visit customers when vital, and also negotiate outright offers in close alignment with the Sales Manager.

In your daily work you are cooperating intensively with the rest of the sales team (Merchandising & Non-Food), but also with other departments like Product Management, Pricing, Trading, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Finance and Customer Service.

You are an excellent communicator, love to be part of a team and have a proactive demeanor. You would describe yourself as stress tolerant, flexible, pragmatic in decision making (problem solver) and accurate in your work. You have outstanding administrative, interpersonal, and planning skills. You are customer driven, commercial at heart (doer) and you bring positive energy, to the already upbeat team.

Furthermore:

• MBO / HBO, preferably in Chemistry and/or a few years of working experience in a similar commercially oriented B2B role in a chemical similar industry;
• You have affinity with the (oleo)-chemistry & commodity industry.
• You have experience with MS Office and preferably also with SAP or similar ERP;
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English. Other languages, such as Dutch, German or French are a definite plus;
